Got A Mind to Give Up Working

I've got a mind to give up working, gonna move to West Palm Beach,
Gonna stop being so damn driven, gonna practice what I preach,
Let go of my corner office, give up my pension plan,
I'm going down south where the sun is warm, gonna do it while I can.

Cause I'm an aging baby boomer,
My hair is turning grey
And I've just heard a rumor
It's supposed to be this way.

I've got a mind to give up working, gonna move to the South of France,
A place where I can kick back and dance in my underpants,
Let go of all those meetings and all that 9 to 5,
The booze and overeating and that awful morning drive.

Cause I'm an aging baby boomer
My ponytail is grey
And I've just heard a rumor
It all ends up this way.

I've got a mind to give up working, join the circus, start a band,
Stop being such a jerk and go south and get a tan,
Drink frosty margaritas, eat chips and have more fun,
Read the Bhagavad Gita and realize we're all one.

Cause I'm an aging baby boomer,
I know what I should do,
I still have my sense of humor
And I just bought the rights to sing the blues.
