GE Commercial Equipment Finance

The global HR Team from GE Commercial Equipment Finance was having their annual meeting, and wanted to do something that supported their strategy of positioning themselves as cutting edge, innovative partners for their internal customers. The 12-person team was working on their messaging, current pressing issues, and wanting to deepen their development as a team.

Instead of bringing a whole band for such an intimate group, FTM managing partner, Paul Kwiecinski, came alone with his guitar to help facilitate the meeting and the songwriting and performance process. [FTM also offers duos and trios for teams and small groups, depending on the client’s needs.] As well as writing blues songs in pairs and threes and performing their creations for their teamates, at the end of their session the team got together to co-write one song about their vision going forward. They really got into performing it together, videoing the performance, and leaving a second version on a traveling teammate’s voicemail. The session was completed in high spirits, but not until they had called a colleague who was in the hospital and performed the song for her over the phone.
