The Mask is the persona we adopt as we step into our workplace. It is a mask in as far as it is different from who we are at other times. The mask may include things like different use of language, dress, manners, political correctness, internal filters on expression (especially expression with emotional content), excess use of buzzwords and jargon, spin-ology, and in general, a manufacturing of a different person that one feels will be compatible with the socio-cultural system of the organization or industry.
